More about me...

My Story

As a carefree child growing up in rural north Yorkshire you would either find me roaming through Yorkshires overgrown  field verges or paintbrush in hand scribbling and splashing colours onto paper/our dining table.

In spring we would make mossy fairy homes, in summer dens in the forest, harvest brought endless hide and seek in sunflower fields and in winter we’d feed the birds from our frosty window.

It’s the rawness of the changing seasons, the freedom of feeling the elements on your skin and the childlike wonder or roaming through forgotten pockets of wilderness and untamed river banks which I’ve always tried to capture in my artwork.

Painting allows me to capture these moments outdoors and bring them into my home, share these feelings with those I care about.

After spending most of school in the art studios tucked under the old clocktower I went to Edinburgh University to study painting and printing. I spent the next 5 years studying, exploring and creating landscapes, experimenting with mediums, colour and textures. I graduated with a distinction in Master of Arts and have now delved into London’s art scene. Exhibiting, creating and exploring the little pockets of wilderness lost in London concrete jungle.

(Escaping most weekends to get some fresh air and inspiration!)
